Palosanto on Rambla del Raval (10/10)

We had made the spontaneous decision to eat here purely because we wanted to be sitting on La Rambla del Raval due to the ample amount of outdoor seating for each of the restaurants lining the large, ovular roundabout – and therefore, plenty of opportunities to watch the sun set and people watch over sangria and a traditional catalan style dinner.

LOVED their version of bravas – typically these little potatoes are not used for bravas / the fact that the skin was left on and they appear to be baked and only once-fried are all unique factors to this restaurants spin on the classic Spanish tapa/pinxo. We really appreciated the little kick they had .. the ONLY thing was that MAYBE there could have been a TOUCH more aliolo – but we were very happy with them as is!

The calamari was EXTRA fresh, far from chewy and the perfect amount of saltiness. We really liked that they used the large rings – easier for splitting up tapas style. Not to mention the SANGRIA – we were all big fans :)) DEFINITELY give this place a go if you’re looking for a nice outdoor place to sit, great service, lovely food choices and a PERFECT people watching position :))..
